Our Defense Is Our Own Responsibility

Updated: Oct 6, 2022

Sadly we must recognize when evil strikes, no one is coming to help.

This disturbing video comes to us from the Facebook page of Huang Jason.

An elderly Asian man was attacked and robbed on a Chicago train. At the time of this post the pond scum have not been identified or caught. The victim has not been identified and it’s not known if he received medical attention, either.

In the video we witness a sick, disgusting, brazen, violent attack on an unsuspecting man and the most chilling thing about this incident is that no one did anything. No one cared. There was motivation to film the incident but absolutely no motivation to render aid. No one cared enough call 911. No one gave him anything to stop the bleeding. No one had at least empathy enough to say something to him.

The man just got robbed & clocked in the head hard enough to create a growing puddle of blood at his feet and all the passengers could/would do with their phones is shoot a video.

You know what else you can do with a phone? Call 911.

Earlier this month, to much media fanfare, New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced that NYC would be installing security cameras in all of New York City's subway cars in an effort to increase security. She said “the cameras would make riders more confident in the safety of the transit system”.

I’m not sure how video cameras on the subways make them any safer. We have great HD video here that’s probably better than the CCTV NY is installing and it sure didn’t make this poor man any safer.

News flash Governor: Citizens don't want to feel safer they want to BE safer. I think this proves your weak solution isn’t a solution, at all.

I know what would actually make riders safer - more police officers riding the trains and strong punishment for those convicted. Just a crazy thought.

This all proves the truth in what Jeff Cooper wrote decades:

“ If violent crime is to be curbed, it is only the intended victim who can do it. The felon does not fear the police, and he fears neither judge nor jury. Therefore what he must be taught to fear is his victim.”

This is why I am so thankful the 2nd Amendment exists. We have the right to defend ourselves with all the tools available to make that happen. There is no guarantee there will be a police officer sitting next to you, no private security on your payroll and as we can see, depending on the altruism of strangers is dicey at best.

Politicians are quick to say that you shouldn’t take the law into your own hands. We’re not. We’re taking our self-defense into our own hands. We’re more than happy for the law to take over once the threat has been taken care of.

There is evil roaming our cities. Our streets are not safe. Mass transit is a literal smorgasbord for criminals. Lawlessness is getting bolder by the day. The Scriptures say that lawlessness will increase in the last days and the longer I live the more confirmation of the Word I see. CQLJ.
